What Historic Jewels does
Current rulesHistoric Jewels are unique Timeless Jewels that transform passives within a very large radius. The Historic limit is shared across the category, so Heroic Tragedy and Undying Hate cannot both be socketed at the same time. Their seed, named lineage, and conquest rule determine which transformation family applies.
- Only one Historic Jewel can be socketed
- The limit is one Historic Jewel across the character's passive tree. It is not one copy of each Historic Jewel name.
- The radius transforms nearby passives
- Both current Historic Jewels have a Very Large radius and cause passives inside that radius to be Conquered by the Jewel's faction.
- The seed and lineage are part of the result
- Heroic Tragedy rolls 100 to 8000 deeds and a Vorana lineage. Undying Hate rolls 79 to 30977 souls and an Abyssal tribute name. Those values are part of the Jewel's transformation identity.
- The two Jewel families are not interchangeable
- Heroic Tragedy Conquers passives by the Kalguur. Undying Hate Conquers them by the Abyssals and has its own Desecration interaction.
- Undying Hate becomes unstable through Desecration
- Undying Hate explicitly states that Desecration makes the item unstable. That rule belongs to Undying Hate and should not be copied to Heroic Tragedy.

5 rules- The Historic limit is shared across all Historic Jewels, not tracked separately for each name.
- The two current Jewels use different faction, seed, and transformation rules.
- A Very Large radius does not mean every passive on the tree is affected; only passives inside the socketed Jewel's radius are transformed.
- Undying Hate's instability rule does not apply to Heroic Tragedy.
- The exact transformed passive result depends on the Jewel's rolled identity and tree position.
