The Grim Tangle

Access and route

From The Grelwood: The Grim Tangle is the main route from The Grelwood to Cemetery of the Eternals. Complete Secrets in the Dark and summon Una when the roots block the route.

1. Blocked roots. Summon Una and speak to her so she can clear the roots blocking most of the area.
2. Decrepit Runestones (Optional). Touch the three runestones and summon Farrow for The Runeseeker.
3. Den of the Druid (Optional). Defeat The Rotten Druid for a Level 1 Uncut Support Gem.
4. Cemetery of the Eternals. Continue through the tunnels to the cemetery and the Memorial Gate quest line.

Waypoint: Yes. The waypoint is at the entrance. The source does not document another checkpoint.

Quest objectives

• The Mysterious Shade (Required): Summon Una to clear the blocked roots, then continue to Cemetery of the Eternals. Landmark: Blocked roots. Next: Search past the Memorial Gate for Count Lachlann's grave.
• The Runeseeker (Optional): Find and touch the Decrepit Runestones, then summon and speak to Farrow. Landmark: Decrepit Runestones. Next: Search the Hunting Grounds for the next runestones.

Bosses and NPC availability

• The Rotten Druid (Optional boss) at Den of the Druid. Optional area boss with a fixed Level 1 Uncut Support Gem drop.
• Una: Summoned at the blocked roots during The Mysterious Shade. Relocation: Returns to Clearfell Encampment after clearing the route.
• Farrow: Summoned at the Decrepit Runestones during The Runeseeker. Relocation: The quest later directs the player to Farrow in Clearfell.

Notable items and exits

• Level 1 Uncut Support Gem: The Rotten Druid. Fixed reward from the optional Den of the Druid encounter.
• Exit to Cemetery of the Eternals: Main campaign exit toward the Memorial Gate. Unlock: Have Una clear the blocked roots.
