Quick answer

Defeat Uhtred, the Stardrinker in the Secluded Temple until the Depleted Mana Rune drops. While you have at least 10,000 current Mana, right-click the Depleted Mana Rune to turn it into an Infused Mana Rune. Take the Infused Mana Rune to Farrow beside Dannig in Act 4 Kingsmarch and exchange it for Runeseeker's Call. The reward is limited to one per character.

Before you start

4 points
  • Access to endgame Expedition content and the Secluded Temple encounter.
  • A character capable of defeating Uhtred, the Stardrinker.
  • A temporary gear, passive, or Mana Overflow setup that can reach 10,000 current Mana.
  • Access to Farrow in Act 4 Kingsmarch.
1
Step 1

Open the Secluded Temple encounter

Use an Expedition Logbook that reveals an Ocean section. Secluded Temple can appear there normally. To guarantee Uhtred, activate Uhtred's Saga before using the next Logbook, use Uhtred's Logbook, or reveal a Grand Expedition area with the Stardrinker island rumour.

  • The Logbook reveals an Ocean biome.
  • For a guaranteed encounter, the Saga is active before the Logbook is used or Uhtred's Logbook is used directly.
  • The revealed area contains Secluded Temple and Uhtred, the Stardrinker.

Step 2

Obtain the Depleted Mana Rune

Defeat Uhtred, the Stardrinker in the Secluded Temple. The Depleted Mana Rune is a rare quest-item drop, so the encounter may need to be completed more than once.

  • The boss is Uhtred, the Stardrinker.
  • The dropped quest item is named Depleted Mana Rune.
  • Keep the Rune in the inventory of the character that will claim the reward.

Step 3

Reach 10,000 current Mana

Prepare enough maximum Mana or Mana Overflow to show at least 10,000 current Mana. This can be a temporary setup. Mana Remnants can provide Overflow beyond maximum Mana, but the required amount must still be present when the Rune is used.

  • The current Mana display is at least 10,000.
  • Any temporary Overflow is still active.
  • The Depleted Mana Rune is available to right-click immediately.
4
Step 4

Charge the Depleted Mana Rune

Right-click the Depleted Mana Rune while the character has at least 10,000 current Mana. A successful use transforms it into the Infused Mana Rune.

  • The Mana requirement is met before right-clicking.
  • The Depleted Mana Rune is consumed.
  • An Infused Mana Rune appears in its place.
5
Step 5

Give the Infused Mana Rune to Farrow

Travel to Act 4 Kingsmarch and speak to Farrow beside Dannig. Follow the new dialogue and give him the Infused Mana Rune. Farrow rewards the character with Runeseeker's Call.

  • The quest item is the Infused Mana Rune.
  • Farrow is the NPC receiving it.
  • Runeseeker's Call appears after the exchange.
6
Step 6

Check the item before transforming it

Runeseeker's Call can later be Runeforged for one of three possible implicit modifiers, corrupted, or transformed with Aldur's Legacy. Review those outcomes before spending additional materials because they are separate from obtaining the base Unique.

  • The base item has been received before planning another transformation.
  • Runeforging costs and its three possible implicits have been reviewed.
  • Irreversible corruption or Legacy transformations are understood first.

Important limits

The reward is limited to one per character

The Infused Mana Rune is a quest item, so Farrow can provide one Runeseeker's Call to that character through this route. Additional copies require another eligible character or trade.

Use current Mana, not only maximum Mana

The Rune checks for at least 10,000 current Mana when it is used. A character with enough maximum Mana still needs to fill it, and temporary Mana Overflow must remain active until the right-click.

Orb of Chance cannot create it

Runeseeker's Call is drop-restricted and cannot be obtained by using an Orb of Chance on a Runic Fork.
