Breach

Open an Unstable Breach, keep it alive by killing Hiveborn, fill the progress bar to stabilise it, then clear the challenges that appear at the starting point.
Breach Tablet
What to doKill quickly, fill the bar, then return to the Breach hand and clear the stabilised challenges.

Collect Hiveblood and Wombgifts for the Genesis Tree. A full stack of 300 Breach Splinters becomes a Revelatory Wombgift, which grows into a Breachstone for the Stronghold route.

How to stabilise a Breach

The encounter order from opening the rift to collecting its resources.

5 steps
  1. 1

    Open the Unstable Breach

Touch the Breach hand to open the expanding rift and begin the collapse timer.

  2. 2

    Follow the expanding edge

Move with the rift and kill Hiveborn as they appear. Kills extend the life of the Breach and advance its progress bar.

  3. 3

    Fill the progress bar

Reaching 100% stabilises the Breach and creates new challenges at the point where the Breach started.

  4. 4

    Return to the starting point

Complete the stabilisation challenges and kill every spawned Rare monster. Vruun can appear after the Rare monsters are defeated.

  5. 5

    Collect the Breach resources

Current Breaches can supply Hiveblood, Wombgifts, and Breach Splinters. Hiveblood is stored for Genesis Tree crafting rather than carried as a normal inventory currency item.

Unstable and Stabilised Breaches

The progress bar changes the objective from extension to challenge completion.

Return to the start

  • Reaching 100% creates challenges where the Breach opened.
  • Kill the spawned Rare monsters before looking for Vruun.
  • Vruun can appear after every stabilisation Rare is killed.
  • Moment of Risk adds two Rare monsters when the Breach stabilises.

Genesis Tree Wombgifts

Each Wombgift has one exact womb and one output family. The published sources do not provide a complete result probability table.

Open Genesis Tree modifiers

Hiveblood is stored as a Breach resource for the Genesis Tree. It is not listed as normal inventory currency. Genesis Tree nodes are unlocked through Wombgift use and alter the outputs available from each womb. Browse every Wombgift.
