What Ignited Ground does
Current rulesIgnited Ground does not make an ordinary random Ignite roll. It builds Flammability while the enemy remains on the surface, then applies Ignite at the 50% threshold. The creating source determines the Ignite damage basis and can replace the default duration or radius.
- Flammability first
- Enemies standing on Ignited Ground repeatedly gain Flammability. They begin to be Ignited when total Flammability reaches 50%.
- Default size and duration
- Ignited Ground lasts 4 seconds and has a radius of 2 metres by default. A skill or item can state different values.
- Damage comes from the creator
- When a source says the ground Ignites as though dealing a stated amount of Fire damage, that stated amount is the basis for the Ignite. Do not substitute ordinary weapon or spell Hit damage.
- Oil interaction
- Ignited Ground can Ignite enemies covered in Oil and can ignite Oil created on the ground. The Ignite removes the Oil from an enemy while its Fire Exposure remains for that Ignite's duration.

Limits and exceptions
3 rules- Ignited Ground does not automatically use the damage of the skill that happened to place it unless that skill's wording says so.
- Leaving the surface stops its repeated application, but an Ignite already inflicted follows the Ignite's own duration rules.
- Fire or Ignite modifiers still need wording that applies to the relevant source or Ignite calculation.
