Stun Recovery
Stun Recovery shortens the time you are unable to act after being Stunned. It does not reduce the chance of a Light Stun, raise Stun Threshold, prevent a Stun, or make Heavy Stun buildup empty faster.Catalog version 0.5.4d
No direct 0.5 patch change is linked to this page. The displayed values are current for catalog version 0.5.4d.
What Stun Recovery does
Current rulesUse Stun Recovery when the problem is how long a Stun interrupts you. Use Stun Threshold or Light Stun avoidance when the problem is how often Hits Stun you. Use modifiers that make Heavy Stun buildup empty faster when the problem is a partially filled Heavy Stun bar.
- Light Stun chance is separate from recovery
- A Light Stun is a brief interruption rolled from a single Hit. Its chance depends on the Hit's damage relative to the target's Stun Threshold. Stun Recovery changes how quickly you regain control after the Stun succeeds, not the chance that the Hit causes it.
- Heavy Stun uses buildup
- Heavy Stun is triggered by filling the target's Heavy Stun buildup to its threshold. This is a different route to a Stun than the immediate Light Stun roll. Players and their Minions normally cannot be Heavy Stunned, although actions such as raising a Shield, Parrying, or riding a mount can permit it.
- Stun Threshold changes susceptibility
- Stun Threshold is the defensive value used when determining Light Stun chance and Heavy Stun buildup. Raising it makes incoming Hits less effective at causing either result. It does not shorten a Stun that has already begun.
- Heavy Stun buildup recovery is another stat
- A modifier such as Your Heavy Stun buildup empties 50% faster clears accumulated buildup more quickly before the threshold is reached. It does not mean 50% increased Stun Recovery and does not describe the duration of the disable after Heavy Stun triggers.
- Avoidance prevents specific Stuns
- Cannot be Light Stunned stops qualifying Light Stuns under the stated condition. It is prevention rather than faster recovery and does not by itself say that Heavy Stun is prevented.
- Current sources do not publish an exact duration formula
- The current PoE2 descriptions say that increased Stun Recovery makes recovery faster, but they do not publish a base Stun duration or a numeric conversion formula for this stat. This page therefore does not use the older Path of Exile 1 duration formula or present an invented worked result.

Chakra of Stability grants 30%, regenerates 3% of maximum Life over 1 second when Stunned, and adds 1 Stun Threshold per Dexterity. Abasement grants 20% and additional Stun Threshold equal to 30% of maximum Energy Shield.

6 rules- Stun Recovery affects the recovery period after a Stun has been inflicted.
- It does not change Light Stun chance.
- It does not add Stun Threshold.
- It does not prevent Light Stun or Heavy Stun.
- It does not make Heavy Stun buildup empty faster unless the modifier says so separately.
- No exact current PoE2 duration formula is used because the cited current sources do not publish one.
