Start

Reach Sandswept Marsh in Act 3 and speak to the Hooded One.

Objective

Drain the lake above Utzaal, open the Temple of Kopec, enter the past, rescue Alva, and capture Doryani in the Black Chambers.

Completion

Return through the Gateway, speak to Doryani and Alva in Ziggurat Encampment, then travel to Kingsmarch.

Follow the required Act 3 route from Sandswept Marsh through the Vaal waterways and temples, enter the past, rescue Alva in the Black Chambers, capture Doryani, return to the present, and speak to Alva to travel to Kingsmarch.

• This is a required Act 3 quest. The first recorded objective is Speak to the Hooded One in Sandswept Marsh.

   Find the Ziggurat

   Speak to the Hooded One in Sandswept Marsh, cross the marsh, meet the treasure hunters in Ziggurat Encampment, and ask how to lower the water.

   Reach the Matlan Waterways

   Follow the canals, consult Alva and Servi, defeat Xyclucian, use Soul Cores in Jiquani's Machinarium and Jiquani's Sanctum, then defeat Zicoatl and retrieve the Large Soul Core.

3. 3

   Drain the lake and open the Temple of Kopec

   Activate the Matlan Waterways, defeat the Queen of Filth for the Temple Door Idol, return to Alva, and use the idol to enter the Temple of Kopec.

4. 4

   Activate the Gateway

   Explore the Temple of Kopec, defeat Ketzuli, summon Alva, speak to her, ride the elevator, and enter the Gateway.

5. 5

   Rescue Alva and capture Doryani

   Explore Utzaal in the past, defeat Viper Napuatzi, enter Aggorat, reach the Black Chambers, and capture Doryani.

6. 6

   Return to the present

   Speak to Doryani in Ziggurat Encampment, use the Gateway, survive the Cataclysm, return to the present, and speak to Doryani and Alva.

7. 7

   Travel to Kingsmarch

   Speak to Alva to travel with her and Doryani to Kingsmarch. The quest record then marks Legacy of the Vaal complete.
