The Aberration

Encounter

The Aberration uses Physical mortar and impact attacks, Cold and Lightning beams, mobile cleaves and slams, Verisium projectiles, and a large web-and-hazard pattern. Keep moving during ranged sequences, move away from the centre of heavy slams, and preserve a clear route through the arena when web hazards begin.

Ranged attacks and beams

The opening attack set combines falling Verisium, mortar impacts, projectiles, and eye beams.

• Keep moving laterally while mortar and Verisium impact effects are active.
• Do not remain directly in front of the eye when the beam wind-up begins.
• The main beam deals Cold and Lightning damage and can Chill and Shock. The floating beam deals Lightning damage.

Mobile attacks and slams

The mobile attack set adds tramples, cleaves, leg stomps, body impacts, and a high-damage Cold combo beam.

• Move to the side of the boss during frontal cleave and trample sequences.
• Leave the centre of the impact marker before a leg stomp or body slam lands.
• Several large attacks are dodge-roll avoidable, but the mortar record is marked as unable to be avoided, evaded, or blocked.

Web and arena hazards

The later skill set includes the World Wide Web pattern, danger zones, Verisium torpedoes, flying rocks, and continuing arena pressure.

• Keep an open path around the arena instead of standing inside overlapping web and impact effects.
• Use clean gaps between projectile and beam sequences for sustained damage.
• Since version 0.5.4, the arena Meteor Rain stops when The Aberration dies.

Access requirements

• Defeat Olroth, Origin of the Fall and Runeforge the Shattered Triskelion before attempting this route.
• Speak to Makoru aboard the Aurora May at the Ruins of Kingsmarch to travel to the Verisium Crater.
• PoE2DB records the Atlas landmark at level 65 and the base pinnacle boss instance at level 79.
