Encounter

The Arbiter of Divinity is a fast spear and Lightning encounter in The Origin Tower. Phase 1 teaches the spear dives, lunges, projectiles, beams, and clone traps. Phase 2 restores the boss, increases its aggression, and adds Divinity Clones that can only be damaged while you have the Divine Power buff from the arena pedestals.

How to access the fight

Defeat the Arbiter of Ash, obtain both Origin components, forge the Origin Core, and carry it to the apex of The Origin Tower.

  • Defeat Phyx, Sentinel of the Spark in The Patriarch Halls for the Origin Spark.
  • Defeat Phya, Sentinel of the Cradle in The Matriarch Halls for the Origin Cradle.
  • Combine the Origin Spark and Origin Cradle in the Precursor Reactor to create the Origin Core, then place the Core at the tower apex.
  • The level 79 quest version allows unlimited revivals and does not allow experience gain or loss.

Phase 1 spear and Lightning patterns

The first phase alternates close spear strings with lunges, dives, projectile sweeps, Lightning streams, beams, and clone traps.

  • For the spear throw and dive sequence, leave the impact area, then move behind the boss to avoid the follow-up sweep.
  • When a charged lunge begins, move across its path instead of retreating along the attack line.
  • Strafe the projectile sweeps and finish the sequence behind the boss before the final beam fires.
  • Trigger a stationary clone trap from its edge, then immediately move out as it activates.

Phase 2 Divine Power and clones

The second phase restores the boss, accelerates its attack strings, and introduces Divinity Clones that require the arena's Divine Power buff.

  • Stand on a lit pedestal near the arena edge to collect Divine Power before trying to damage the Divinity Clones.
  • Divine Power briefly protects you from damage and lets you destroy the clones. Use that window on the clones before returning to the boss.
  • The 0.5.4 visual update makes the orb collection and buff timing easier to read.
  • The 0.5.4b update enlarged clone hitboxes and increased gaps between several attacks, so follow the voice and visual cues instead of panic rolling.

Phase 2 arena attacks

The later combinations include a teleport slam, fast projectile strings, a spear fissure, expanding sweeps, Lightning safe zones, and a clone sequence followed by a large beam.

  • Watch the spear rather than waiting for dialogue during Sunder. The raised and charged spear is the warning for the fissure.
  • For the thrown spear followed by the wide sweep, roll toward the centre of the sweep instead of away from its expanding edge.
  • When Lightning covers most of the arena, move into a visible safe patch or use an available Divine Power pedestal.
  • During the extended clone assault, keep moving around the arena edge. Move toward the Arbiter when the final beam and side shockwave are about to resolve.

Atlas progression after the kill

Each victory lets you activate an Ancient Mechanism for one Fortress section and collect the Atlas passive points from that section.

  • Use the marked Ancient Mechanism after the encounter instead of leaving immediately.
  • Choose a section you have not completed through a previous Arbiter victory.
  • Five victories can complete the five Fortress sections required for the remaining main Atlas passive points.
