What Fragment of Divinity does
Current rulesThe Ordained creates a Fragment of Divinity in your Presence every 4 seconds, and each fragment lasts 10 seconds. When Righteous Descent begins its leap, it checks within 3 metres of you or the targeted location and consumes a fragment it finds. The empowered impact has twice the listed base attack damage, converts 80% of Physical damage to Lightning instead of 40%, expands from a 2.5 metre to a 4 metre radius, recovers 10% of maximum Life and Mana over 2 seconds, and does not consume a cooldown use.
- The Ordained creates the fragments
- The Ordained is the current player item connected to Fragment of Divinity. Its explicit modifier creates one fragment in your Presence every 4 seconds. The spear is a restricted Unique drop from The Arbiter of Divinity.
- Each fragment lasts 10 seconds
- Fragments of Divinity are temporary. A created fragment lasts 10 seconds if no compatible skill consumes it first, so the ground state must be refreshed rather than stored permanently between encounters.
- Righteous Descent checks two locations
- When you leap, Righteous Descent can consume a fragment within 3 metres of the character or within 3 metres of the targeted location. A fragment does not have to sit only under the character, but it must be close to one of those two checked points.
- Empowerment changes damage and area
- The normal impact converts 40% of Physical damage to Lightning and has a 2.5 metre radius. The empowered impact converts 80%, has a 4 metre radius, and uses twice the skill's listed base attack-damage multiplier at each level.
- Empowerment adds recovery
- An empowered impact recovers 10% of maximum Life over 2 seconds and 10% of maximum Mana over 2 seconds. This recovery belongs to the empowered skill result and is not a property of an unconsumed fragment by itself.
- The empowered use preserves the cooldown use
- Righteous Descent has a 10 second cooldown, but an empowered use does not consume a cooldown use. The fragment is consumed instead, so fragment generation controls how often the empowered version can bypass normal cooldown consumption.
