What Ancestrally Boosted does

Current rules

An Ancestrally Boosted Slam has 30% more damage and 25% increased Area of Effect. An Ancestrally Boosted Strike targets 2 additional enemies. An Ancestrally Boosted Spell has 30% more damage and 25% increased Area of Effect. Triggered Skills cannot be Ancestrally Boosted, and Boosted Attacks count as Empowered.

Boosted Slams gain damage and area
An Ancestrally Boosted Slam has 30% more damage and 25% increased Area of Effect. More damage is multiplicative, while increased Area of Effect adds with other applicable increases.
Boosted Strikes target 2 additional enemies
An Ancestrally Boosted Strike gains 2 additional targets. It does not receive the Slam damage and area bonuses merely because it is Melee.
Boosted Spells gain damage and area
An Ancestrally Boosted Spell has 30% more damage and 25% increased Area of Effect.
Triggered Skills cannot be Boosted
A Skill used by a Trigger cannot receive Ancestral Boost. Sources that prepare the next Skill therefore require a compatible Skill you use yourself.
Boosted Attacks count as Empowered
An Ancestrally Boosted Attack also satisfies effects that check whether an Attack is Empowered.
Compatibility can be stated by the Skill
Some Skills explicitly cannot be Ancestrally Boosted. Tempest Bell is a current exception that can be Boosted as though it were a Strike.
