What Guided Freezing Shrine does
Current rulesEquip Guiding Palm of the Eye to gain Guided Freezing Shrine. The effect activates when enemies are in range and produces its own repeating Cold effect around the player. It is not an ordinary Shrine encounter, does not require killing Shrine Worshippers, and does not expire after the ordinary Shrine duration. The Sceptre's gained damage, ally damage, regeneration sharing, Intelligence, Light Radius, and Purity of Ice modifiers are separate item benefits.
- Enemies in range activate the effect
- Freezing shards fire around you in a spiral when enemies are in range. The current shrine description does not give an activation radius, strike interval, hit damage, critical chance, or damage scaling formula. Those values should not be invented from the visual effect.
- The Sceptre grants the effect continuously
- Guiding Palm of the Eye states that it grants the effect of Guided Freezing Shrine. This is an equipped item effect rather than a temporary buff collected from an interactable Shrine, so there are no Worshippers to defeat and no Shrine to click.
- The extra Cold damage is a separate modifier
- Guiding Palm of the Eye also grants 25% of damage as extra Cold damage. That modifier belongs to the Sceptre and is not part of the short Guided Freezing Shrine definition. Removing or disabling the item removes both benefits, but they remain separate mechanics.
- Ally bonuses are not part of the shrine attack
- The added Cold attack damage for Allies in your Presence and the shared Base Life Regeneration are separate explicit modifiers. They affect eligible allies while the item is active and do not describe the damage dealt by the guided shrine effect.
- Purity of Ice is granted separately
- Guiding Palm of the Eye grants Purity of Ice. The granted skill, the permanent guided shrine, and the Sceptre's other explicit modifiers are distinct entries and should be evaluated separately when comparing this item with another Sceptre.
