Precursor Towers

Complete the first Precursor Tower near the Ziggurat Refuge, activate its Precursor Beacon, then speak to Doryani to finish the quest and receive an Irradiated Tablet.

How it works

Use a Waystone to enter the first Precursor Tower, defeat its map boss, and activate the Precursor Beacon at the end. Return to Doryani after the beacon is active. The quest ends after that conversation and awards an item level 70 Irradiated Tablet.

How to complete Precursor Towers

The quest is completed inside the tower first, then finished by speaking to Doryani.

1. Find the first tower

After entering endgame, locate the Precursor Tower that appears near the Ziggurat Refuge on the Atlas.

2. Enter the map

Use a suitable Waystone to travel to the Precursor Tower map.

3. Defeat the boss

Reach the end of the tower and kill its map boss. The beacon cannot complete the tower while the boss remains alive.

4. Activate the beacon

Interact with the Precursor Beacon after the boss fight. This completes the tower and reveals the surrounding Atlas area.

5. Speak to Doryani

Return to Doryani after activating the beacon. The quest now ends at this conversation.

Reward and Atlas progression

The quest reward and the tower's Atlas effects are separate benefits.

Quest reward

Doryani awards an item level 70 Irradiated Tablet.

Tower completion

Completing a tower reveals a large part of the surrounding Atlas and grants a random Tablet.

Fortress discovery

Completing the first tower causes the Precursor Fortress to appear north of the Atlas starting area.

Fortress towers

Precursor Towers along the Fortress walls also grant Atlas passive skill points when completed.

Current tower rules

Tablets are used from the Map Device. Towers are no longer required to apply ordinary Tablets.

Tablet use

Place Tablets directly in the Map Device with a Waystone. Do not look for the old tower socketing interface.

Completion condition

Kill the map boss and activate the Precursor Beacon.

Quest hand-in

The quest does not end at the beacon. Speak to Doryani afterward.
