Encounter
The Bodach is the Ritual pinnacle encounter in Caer Tarth. The fight moves from direct arena attacks into a guided survival sequence and then returns to a more crowded version of its core patterns.
How to reach The Bodach
The first encounter completes the Rite of the Nameless. Repeat encounters use five Call of the Shadows on the Caer Tarth effigy.
- Defeat the King in the Mists and bring the Head of the King to Aoife in Caer Tarth.
- Complete the five Rite of the Nameless maps and recover each named effigy piece.
- Attach the five pieces to the Caer Tarth effigy to open the quest encounter.
- For later attempts, attach five Call of the Shadows to the effigy instead.
Opening arena
The Bodach uses close-range fist slams, a pull followed by a frontal attack, and a meteor sequence.
- Move out of the slam area before committing to a long attack animation.
- When the pull begins, move across the boss rather than remaining in front of the follow-up.
- Keep an open route through the arena for the meteor sequence.
Spirit path sequence
A transition changes the fight from direct damage into movement through the darkness.
- Follow the green spirit wisps along the route they reveal.
- Prioritize reaching the shown safe area over dealing damage during this sequence.
Final arena pressure
Later patterns combine the boss's slam and pull attacks with additional volatile hazards.
- Clear space before the next pull so a volatile hazard does not block the escape route.
- Reposition after each heavy pattern instead of repeatedly circling through the same occupied part of the arena.
