Encounter

Vessel of Kulemak is a repeated-defeat Abyss pinnacle encounter. After each defeat, the player can end the fight or revive the Vessel with another Lich power. Returning the Finger after three empowerments begins the full-power final phase.

How to reach Vessel of Kulemak

Use Kulemak's Invitation at the Well of Souls to enter The Black Cathedral and begin the encounter.

  1. Obtain Kulemak's Invitation from current Abyss endgame progression.
  2. Take the Invitation to the Well of Souls and use it to enter The Black Cathedral.
  3. Defeat the Vessel, then choose whether to take the Finger and stop or steal another Lich power and continue.

Empowerment sequence

The three available Lich powers are selected in a random order. Each revival adds one empowerment and one unrevealed Desecrated modifier to Grip of Kulemak.

  • Decide before each revival whether another empowerment is worth risking the current result.
  • The order of Amanamu, Kurgal, and Ulaman powers is not a player-selected sequence.

Take the Finger or continue

Taking the Finger ends the encounter at the current empowerment. Stealing a Lich's power revives and strengthens the Vessel.

  • End the sequence when the current reward state matters more than the next empowerment.
  • Choose Return the Finger after the third empowerment only when prepared for the full-power phase.

Full-power phase

The fourth fight adds a central Abyssal fissure, crossing portals, empowered attacks, and ground that prevents Life and Energy Shield recovery.

  • Do not cross the central fissure without accounting for the following orbs and their Desecrated ground.
  • Leave recovery-blocking ground immediately. Remaining on it removes the sustain needed for the next beam or cleave.
  • Use the portals to cross the divided arena when the direct path is unsafe.

Cleave and beam positioning

The empowered cleave and beam reward early movement based on their wind-up rather than a late reaction at the centre of the arena.

  • Read the cleave wind-up and move to the safe side before the swing completes.
  • Keep a portal route available before the beam and ground effects overlap.
