What Frenzy Charge does
Current rulesFrenzy Charges can be gained through skills such as Combat Frenzy, Sniper's Mark, Disengage, and Cull the Weak. Bow and spear skills can consume them for extra arrows, repeats, chains, immediate detonations, cooldown bypasses, or empowered effects.
- Shared charge rules
- Frenzy Charges have a default maximum of three and a default duration of 15 seconds. Gaining another Frenzy Charge refreshes their duration.
- No inherent speed bonus
- Holding a Frenzy Charge does not inherently increase Attack Speed, Cast Speed, Skill Speed, or damage in Path of Exile 2.
- Generating charges
- Current generators include activating Sniper's Mark with a Critical Hit, consuming the Parried debuff, culling enemies, and triggering Combat Frenzy's listed ailments or Pin condition.
- Spending charges
- Frenzy Charge consumers can add projectiles, repeats, chains, empowered detonations, or bypass a cooldown. Each skill defines how many charges it removes and what they provide.
- Charge Regulation benefit
- Charge Regulation grants increased Skill Speed while at least one Frenzy Charge is present. The bonus comes from Charge Regulation and varies with skill level.
Limits and exceptions
3 rules- Combat Frenzy has a cooldown between charge grants, so repeatedly meeting its condition does not grant a charge on every hit.
- Some consumers use one Frenzy Charge if possible, while others require a charge or consume all available Frenzy Charges.
- Bonuses stated per Frenzy Charge scale with the number held or consumed. Bonuses stated while you have a Frenzy Charge do not.
