Charge
Charges are temporary counters gained from skills, passives, and items. Path of Exile 2 has Endurance, Frenzy, and Power Charges, and the charges themselves do not grant inherent character bonuses.Catalog version 0.5.4d

What Charge does
Current rulesA character can normally hold up to three charges of each type. Each type lasts 15 seconds by default, and gaining another charge of the same type refreshes that type's duration. Skills and other effects can consume charges to gain the effect stated in their own description.
- No inherent bonus
- Endurance, Frenzy, and Power Charges do not provide defensive, speed, or critical bonuses by themselves in Path of Exile 2.
- Default maximum
- Players can normally hold three charges of each type at once. Passives, equipment, and other effects can change a type's maximum.
- Duration and refresh
- Charges last 15 seconds by default. Gaining another charge of the same type refreshes the duration of all charges of that type, including when already at the maximum.
- Three charge types
- Endurance Charges are associated with Strength, Frenzy Charges with Dexterity, and Power Charges with Intelligence.
- Consumption
- A consuming skill removes the charge or charges described by that skill and applies its stated enhancement, extra action, or cooldown bypass.
- Charge Regulation
- Charge Regulation adds a separate benefit while at least one charge of a type is present, then periodically consumes one charge of each available type.
Limits and exceptions
4 rules- Charges are counters rather than buffs. Modifiers to buff effect do not inherently scale a charge.
- A benefit that says while you have a charge requires at least one charge. It is not multiplied by the number held unless the effect explicitly says per charge.
- A skill may consume one charge, several charges, all charges of a type, or a combination of charge types. Read the consuming skill's wording.
- Charge Regulation supplies its own bonuses. Those bonuses are not properties of the underlying charges.
