What Endurance Charge does
Current rulesEndurance Charges can be gained through effects such as Magma Barrier or supports that reward Fully Breaking Armour. Warcries and other skills can consume them to bypass cooldowns, create effects, restore Life, or strengthen a summoned totem.
- Shared charge rules
- Endurance Charges have a default maximum of three and a default duration of 15 seconds. Gaining another Endurance Charge refreshes their duration.
- No inherent damage reduction
- Holding an Endurance Charge does not inherently grant Physical Damage Reduction, Elemental Resistance, Armour, or other defences in Path of Exile 2.
- Generating charges
- Current generation includes Magma Barrier after its fully imbued shield block and support effects that grant a charge after Fully Breaking enemy Armour.
- Spending charges
- Endurance Charge consumers can bypass a warcry cooldown, create Jagged Ground, restore Life, or strengthen a totem. The consuming skill or support defines the exact result.
- Charge Regulation benefit
- Charge Regulation grants more Armour, Evasion, and Energy Shield while at least one Endurance Charge is present. That bonus varies with skill level and is not inherent to the charge.
Limits and exceptions
3 rules- A warcry that can expend an Endurance Charge to bypass its cooldown still follows every other requirement stated by that skill.
- Charge generation on Fully Breaking Armour requires the relevant support or other effect. Fully Broken Armour does not inherently grant an Endurance Charge.
- Bonuses stated per Endurance Charge scale with the number held or consumed. Bonuses stated while you have an Endurance Charge do not.
