Omen of Sinistral Necromancy

Activate it before Desecration when the new unrevealed modifier must occupy a prefix slot.

Valid target

A compatible Rare item and Preserved Bone that can create a prefix. Under current rules, the item cannot already have a Desecrated modifier.

Consumes and changes

Consumes the active Omen and the selected Preserved Bone when the Desecration attempt succeeds.

Result

Adds one unrevealed Desecrated prefix. At the Well of Souls, the later reveal offers three eligible prefix choices.

Probability

Unpublished. The prefix side is guaranteed, but the reveal offer distribution is unpublished. Regular affixes use their usual weights and exclusive choices have uneven weights.

Risk

The Omen controls only the added modifier's side. If a full item must lose a modifier first, it does not restrict that removal to prefixes.

Use or save

Use it when the wanted Desecrated pool is on the prefix side and every removal risk on a full item has been checked.

How to get it

It drops from rare Abyssal monsters with Amanamu's Void, Kurgal's Final Gasp, or Ulaman's Legion. For Amanamu's Void, the monster must be outside its cloud when killed.

Current version

Introduced in 0.3.0. Since 0.5.0, ordinary crafting is limited to one Desecrated modifier per item.
