Omen of Corruption

Activate this legacy Omen before a Vaal Orb when you accept Corruption and want to exclude the standard no-change outcome.

Valid target

An uncorrupted item that can be modified by a Vaal Orb. It does not modify Ancient Infuser corruption for Tablets.

Consumes and changes

Consumes the active Omen and one Vaal Orb. The target becomes Corrupted and normally cannot be modified again.

Result

Removes the standard no-change branch from the target's Vaal Orb outcome pool. The remaining outcome still depends on the target type.

Probability

Unpublished. The sources define which standard branch is removed but do not publish the remaining outcome weights. Do not treat the remaining branches as equally likely.

Risk

It does not guarantee a beneficial or visibly different result. Jewellery can still hit the socket branch and show no change, and Unique Jewels retain a separate no-change branch.

Use or save

Use an existing copy only when every remaining target-specific branch is acceptable and the irreversible Corrupted state is worth the risk.

How to get it

It can no longer be obtained in current leagues. Existing copies remain legacy items.
