Valid target

A Rare item with an open modifier slot and applicable Catalyst Quality.

Consumes and changes

Consumes the Omen, one Exalted Orb, and all Catalyst Quality on the item.

Result

Adds a random modifier with increased weight for the corresponding Catalyst tag.

Probability

Depends on item state. The documented weight multiplier is 5 times at 20% quality and 7.5 times at 40% quality. Final probability still depends on the complete eligible pool.

Risk

All Catalyst Quality is removed even if the added modifier is not the one you wanted.

Use or save

Use it when the target has valuable matching Catalyst Quality, an open slot, and the weighted improvement justifies consuming an Exalted Orb and all quality.

This is a drop-restricted Ritual reward with drop level 75.
